Route: Chiaserna – Ara San Maffeo – Pezza – Ponte Calcara – Valdorbia – Chiaserna

Time: 2 hours – Distance 25km – Altitude Difference: 800m

An ‘easy’ tour that takes us to a fairly unknown area around Monte Petria. We climb up from Chiaserna on the dirt road that leads to Ara San Maffeo, from where there is a beautiful view of the Catria and Acuto massifs. We follow the road, leaving to the right the path climbing to the summit of Monte Petria and then circle around Monte Orneti and Monte Aguzzo. We then descend towards Pezza to meet the asphalt road at Ponte Calcara. We follow the road in the direction of Sassoferrato to the Valdorbia junction, from where we return to Chiaserna.
