Furlo MTB Trek
20/4/2014 Nice MTB trail around the Furlo canyon, that allows you to cross both Mount Paganuccio and Mount Pietralata.
Starting from S. Anna you start climbing on the road that reaches Case S. Ubaldo (just follow the signs to Ca i Fabbri). The climb is hard, with a few turns but very pleasant and not too long. Once in S. Ubaldo you take a right to the Pradella hut and again take a right on your next fork, going donw to the road connecting Furlo with Tarugo.
Take once again the right to Furlo and once close to the village cross the Candigliano river over the small bridge that takes you right at the restaurant Ginestra. If you want to make a longer tour you can now make a left (direction Acqualagna) and then follow the signs to the Pelingo Monastery, where you can follow the road up to the old Pietralata castle, and then continue around the mountain until you find the road going down to Pagino.
In Furlo we make a right and, just where the park house is we take the road that climbs up. We follow the road, becoming a dirt road later on, on a constant climb until we reach the Furlo hut. Here once again we have the choice to continue climbing on the dirt road around the mountain, or take the trail to Pagino. Both ways we reach the small village of Pagino, from where we can continue on the road to reach the Flaminia and our starting point.

The red tour is about 27km with a total ascent of about 1200m.
